How the ENERPAT Engine Crusher Works
1. Feeding: Scrap engine or gearbox is placed into the hopper.
2. Hydraulic Compression: A powerful hydraulic ram pushes the material into the fixed crusher chamber (Hardox 400).
3. Crushing Force: With up to 210 tons of crushing pressure, the engine block is cracked, deformed, and fragmented.
4. Liberation of Materials: The aluminum casing breaks apart, exposing steel crankshafts, valve rods, and shafts for easy separation.
5. Downstream Separation:
Magnetic separators remove ferrous steel.
Non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper) remain for further sorting.
Optional eddy current separators or hammer mills can be added for advanced recovery.
