Engine Cracker for Efficient Car Engine Recycling

Processing scrap engines can be challenging due to their compact structure, mixed materials and heavy handling requirements. An engine cracker provides an efficient solution for breaking down end-of-life engines and preparing them for further recycling processes.

ENERPAT Engine Cracker is designed for recyclers who need a practical way to handle waste engines, engine blocks and other automotive metal components. As an engine crusher and car engine recycling machine, it helps improve material handling efficiency and supports the recovery of valuable metals from scrap vehicles.

Product Description

Industries Generating Scrap Engines

  • Automotive Recycling:

Car engines, truck engines, diesel engines, petrol engines, and end-of-life vehicle components.

  • Motorcycle & Small Vehicle Recycling:

Motorcycle engines, scooter engines, and other small vehicle power units.

  • Marine Equipment Recycling:

Boat engines, outboard motors, and inboard engines.

  • Industrial & Heavy Equipment Recycling:

Generator engines, excavator engines, and motors from heavy machinery.

For auto dismantlers, ELV recyclers, and scrap yards, efficiently processing these heavy and mixed-material components is essential for improving recycling efficiency and recovering valuable metals.

How the ENERPAT Engine Cracker Works

The ENERPAT Engine Cracker uses hydraulic crushing technology to break down scrap engines, engine blocks, and gearboxes into smaller and more manageable pieces for further material recovery.

1. Feeding

Scrap engines, engine blocks, or gearboxes are loaded into the crushing chamber.

2. Hydraulic Compression

A powerful hydraulic ram applies compression force to crack and deform the engine structure.

3. Engine Cracking Process

With up to 210 tons of crushing pressure, the machine breaks down heavy engine blocks and releases internal components.

4. Material Liberation

The engine housing is opened, helping expose materials such as aluminum housings, steel components, and copper parts for easier sorting.

5. Downstream Material Separation

After processing, recovered materials can be separated through suitable recycling equipment:

  • Magnetic separators can be used to remove ferrous metals such as steel.

  • Non-ferrous metals, including aluminum and copper, can be collected for further sorting.

  • Optional equipment such as eddy current separators or hammer mills can be integrated into recycling systems for advanced material recovery.

Feeding

Feeding

Scrap engines are loaded into the hopper by forklift or conveyor.

Crushing

Crushing

The hydraulic pusher forces material into the Hardox chamber for powerful compression.

Discharge

Discharge

Crushed output moves to the belt and passes the magnetic separator for sorting.
