Is Manual Wire Stripping Still Practical for Your Operation?
Manual stripping can make sense for selected high-value cables, but it becomes less practical when a recycling operation handles regular volumes of insulated wire and mixed cable scrap.

ENERPAT Copper Wire Granulator provides a mechanical alternative by processing suitable wire in bulk, reducing the material into smaller particles and separating copper from plastic insulation.

ENERPAT combines granulation, separation and dust collection into a configurable copper wire recycling solution.
Copper Wire Granulator for Insulated Wire Recycling
Copper Wire Granulator for Insulated Wire Recycling
The ENERPAT Copper Wire Granulator is designed to process insulated copper wire, electrical cables and other suitable copper-containing wire scrap.
Instead of stripping individual wires manually, the material is fed into the granulation system, mechanically reduced into smaller particles and then separated into copper and plastic fractions.
The granulator can be configured with feeding, conveying, separation and dust collection equipment according to the material characteristics and processing requirements.
Product Details
  • Reduce Cable Size Before Granulation
A double shaft shredder can be installed as the first stage for larger or tougher cables. It shreds bulky cable scrap into smaller, more manageable pieces before granulation, helping improve material feeding and increase granulator throughput.
Key Components: Siemens motor, Bonfiglioli/BONENG gearbox, Schneider Electric control system, SKF bearings.
  • Granulate Cables into Fine Particles
The granulator further processes pre-shredded cables into small particles, with the system configured to achieve particle sizes below 3 mm for downstream copper-plastic separation.
The granulation stage uses precision cutting components to efficiently reduce the cable material while maintaining a consistent particle size.
Key Components: Siemens motor, BONENG gearbox, Schneider Electric electrical system, SKF bearings.
  • Maintain a Stable Material Flow
A vibrating screen helps evenly distribute the granulated material before separation. The 304 stainless steel + Q235B vibrating screen is approximately 1,200 mm wide, with an adjustable amplitude of 3–8 mm, helping maintain a consistent feed rate for the downstream separation system.
  • Separate Copper from Plastic
After granulation and screening, the material enters the air separation stage. The air separator uses differences in the physical properties of copper and plastic—particularly their weight and aerodynamic behavior—to separate the heavier copper fraction from lighter plastic insulation.
This helps produce separately collected copper and plastic fractions for further recycling.
  • Capture Fine Dust During Processing
Fine particles and dust can be generated during cable shredding, granulation and screening. An integrated dust collection system can be incorporated to capture airborne particles, helping maintain a cleaner processing environment and supporting more controlled material handling.
  • Connect Every Processing Stage
Conveyors can be integrated between shredding, granulation, screening, separation and collection stages. This creates a continuous material flow and reduces manual handling throughout the copper wire recycling process.

What Wire Scrap Can a Copper Wire Granulator Process?
More Than Granulation: Separation & Dust Collection
A copper wire recycling system needs to do more than reduce wire size. The processed material must also be separated into useful fractions, while dust generated during granulation should be properly managed.
