The ENERPAT WG-400S Copper Cable Granulator is featured on recycling insulated copper wire, electrical cables and other suitable copper-containing wire scrap.

Rather than relying on manual wire stripping, the system processes cable mechanically through several stages. Larger cables can first pass through a shredder to reduce their size. The material enters the granulator, where it will be cut into particles.

The final separation stage uses the different physical behavior of copper and plastic to produce separate material streams, while an integrated dust collection system helps control fine particles generated.

6 Key Core Advantages

Reduce Cable Size Before Granulation

The double-shaft shredder can be installed as the first processing stage when the larger cable need other size reduction.
Rather than cutting bulky cable into the granulation stage, the pre- shredder breaks them into smaller, more manageable bales. This process helps feeding conditions and increase the downstream efficiency.
Fine Granulation for Copper-Plastic Separation

The granulator reduces the pre-shredded cable into fine particles. The system is aimed to produce particles below 3 mm, creating a suitable feed condition for downstream separation.
The granulation stage uses Siemens motors, BONENG gearboxes, Schneider Electric electrical components and SKF bearings, with German D2 steel used for the rotor and knives.
Vibrating Screening for Stable Material Flow

After granulation, the material passes through a vibrating screen to help create a consistent feed for the separation stage.
The system can use a 304 stainless steel + Q235B vibrating screen, 1,200 mm wide, with adjustable amplitude from 3–8 mm.
Air Separation for Copper and Plastic

The air separator uses differences in weight and aerodynamic behavior to separate the heavier copper fraction from lighter plastic insulation.
This allows copper and plastic to be collected separately after granulation.
Dust Collection During Processing

Cable shredding, granulation and screening can generate fine particles. An integrated dust collection system can be added to airborne material and keep the processing area more controlled.
This is particularly useful when the granulation line is running continuously and multiple processing stages are operating.
Connected Material Flow

Conveyors can be installed between the shredding, granulation, screening, separation and collection stages.
This reduces manual handling and allows different parts of the recycling process to work as one connected line.
