WG-800S Cable Separator Machine

The ENERPAT WG-800S Cable Separator Machine is designed for the copper-plastic separation stage of waste cable recycling.
Rather than focusing on further size reduction, the WG-800S handles the material after granulation. It uses these differences in the weight and aerodynamic behavior of copper and plastic to separate the heavier copper fraction from the lighter materials and direct the two materials into separate collection streams.
For oversized or tougher cables, a double shaft shredder can be installed upstream to reduce the feed size before granulation.

The processed cable particles enter the air separation system, where airflow interacts  with copper and plastic. The heavier copper fraction moves toward one collection path, while the lighter plastic insulation is directed toward another.

This gives the recycling line two clearly separated material streams for subsequent recovery.

The WG-800S Cable Separator Machine separates copper and plastic after the cable has been granulated and screened.

The separation stage depends on the different physical and aerodynamic characteristics of the two materials. Heavier copper particles and lighter plastic insulation respond differently to the airflow, allowing them to be directed into separate collection streams.

The machine can be integrated with upstream shredding, granulation and screening equipment to form a continuous cable recycling process.

Design & Product Story
Granulating cable is only part of the recycling process. Once the insulation has been cut away from the conductor, copper and plastic still need to be separated from the resulting mixture.
Upstream equipment handles the initial size-reduction work. Oversized cable can first be processed by a double shaft shredder, while the granulator then reduces the material to particles below 3 mm. After screening, the WG-800S uses airflow to distinguish between the heavier copper particles and lighter plastic insulation.
This approach gives each machine a defined role every processing task. Conveyors can link the individual stages, creating a continuous material path from cable preparation through final copper and plastic collection.
