Double Shaft Tire Shredding Machine

Whole tires are the awkward part of any recycling line: big, flexible, and hard to move through conveyor-fed equipment efficiently. This machine handles that first step. Two counter-rotating shafts grip and shear whole tires at low speed and high torque, reducing them to roughly 50–100 mm pieces at 10–15 tons per hour. The output is a coarse, consistent feedstock, ready for magnetic separation, secondary crushing, or screening. For U.S. customers, ENERPAT also provides local support through its Ohio facility.

One thing to keep in mind: this Double Shaft Tire Shredding Machine is for standard whole tires. Oversized OTR mining tires, roughly 1,400–4,000 mm in diameter, fall outside the feeding range.

Product Video

Double Shaft Tire Shredding Machine

The video shows whole waste tires being fed into the shredding chamber. The two shafts take hold of each tire and keep up a continuous shearing force until it breaks apart into smaller pieces. The coarse shredded material then discharges from the unit, ready for the next stage of processing. The whole process is about primary size reduction, not final rubber granulation.

Product Description

ENERPAT Double Shaft Tire Shredding Machine

The Double Shaft Tire Shredding Machine is a first-stage unit: whole tires in, coarse pieces out. The construction, blades, and drive are all chosen for continuous industrial use — the reinforced welded chamber and modular frame hold up under daily operation, the alloy steel blades take repeated cutting loads, and Siemens motors, Bonfiglioli gearboxes, and FAG or SKF bearings carry the shafts through heavy loads and shock forces.

Key Advantages

  1. High-Torque Double-Shaft Cutting — Two counter-rotating shafts tear rather than slice, which is what lets the machine handle whole tires. Low speed plus high torque keeps the force steady through rubber and steel-reinforced structures.

  2. Built for Continuous Tire Processing — The reinforced welded chamber and modular frame are heavy enough for all-day recycling runs, and the frame opens up for maintenance without a major tear-down.

  3. Approx. 50–100 mm Output — The first stage brings tires down to a size that downstream crushing and separation equipment can actually take.

  4. Durable Alloy Steel Blades — The blades are made for repeated impact and cutting loads. When edges wear down, hard-facing welding can restore them instead of forcing an immediate full replacement.

  5. Stable Drive & Bearing System — Siemens motors and Bonfiglioli gearboxes keep torque steady; FAG or SKF bearings absorb the shock loads under heavy operation.

  6. Expandable Recycling Configuration — Run the shredder standalone, or add secondary crushing, magnetic separation, screening, and conveying equipment as your process grows.

Design & Product Story
A tire recycling operation usually starts with a simple problem: whole tires are large, flexible, and hard to move efficiently through downstream equipment. The double shaft shredder addresses that first step by turning whole tires into a coarse, manageable material stream.
Once the tires are down to roughly 50–100 mm, several routes open up. The coarse material can go into TDF production; keep crushing and separating further and you end up with rubber granules or rubber powder. That makes the Tire Shredding Machine a good fit for recycling businesses that want to build processing capacity in stages rather than install every stage at once.
Why Choose Us
FAQs
  • 1. What is the main purpose of this machine?
    加 Created with Sketch.
    形状 Created with Sketch.
To reduce whole waste tires into roughly 50–100 mm pieces before secondary crushing, screening, and separation.
  • 2. Can it handle tires containing steel wire?
    加 Created with Sketch.
    形状 Created with Sketch.
Yes. The low-speed, high-torque dual-shaft shear system is what lets it tear through steel-reinforced tires.
  • 3. What products can be made after shredding?
    加 Created with Sketch.
    形状 Created with Sketch.
The shredded material can be further processed into TDF, rubber granules, or rubber powder. The downstream equipment you need depends on the particle size and product specification you're targeting.
  • 4. Can customers start with the shredder and expand later?
    加 Created with Sketch.
    形状 Created with Sketch.
Yes. The Double Shaft Tire Shredding Machine works as a front-end unit and can later be integrated with secondary crushers, magnetic separators, screens, and conveyors.
  • 5. Does ENERPAT provide U.S. support?
    加 Created with Sketch.
    形状 Created with Sketch.
Yes. ENERPAT's Ohio facility provides local support for U.S. customers during equipment selection and project planning.
