Why Use a Cardboard Baler in Australia?
For Australian recycling companies, retailers, warehouses and distribution centres, loose cardboard can quickly take up valuable space and increase the frequency of waste collection.
A cardboard baler compresses loose cardboard and OCC into dense bales, making the material easier to store, handle and transport.
- Less Storage Space — Compress cardboard before it builds up around your facility.
- Fewer Hauling Requirements — Dense bales make better use of collection and transport capacity.
- Easier Material Handling — Keep cardboard organised and ready for recycling.
- Better Fit for Different Operations — Choose from semi-automatic, auto-tie and two-ram baling systems according to your volume and labour requirements.

Auto-Tie Horizontal Cardboard Baler
Fully Automatic Cardboard Baling with Automatic Bale Tying

The ENERPAT Auto-Tie Horizontal Baler is designed for businesses handling large daily volumes of cardboard, paper, plastic and other non-hazardous recyclables.
The baler automatically ties each bale once the preset bale length is reached, reducing manual tying work and keeping the baling process running smoothly.

Key Features:
- Automatic Bale Tying: Each bale is tied automatically after reaching the preset length.
- High-Volume Processing: Designed for operations handling heavy daily waste volumes.
- Adjustable Bale Output: Bale length and weight can be set according to your requirements.
- Wide Material Range: Suitable for cardboard, plastic bottles, film and other non-hazardous industrial recyclables.
- Multiple Bale Sizes: Available bale dimensions include 500 × 500 mm, 720 × 720 mm, 1100 × 1100 mm and 1100 × 1250 mm, depending on the model.

Suitable for: Recycling facilities, warehouses, distribution centres and other Australian operations looking for fully automatic cardboard baling.

Closed Door Horizontal Cardboard Baler
Semi-Automatic Cardboard Baler with Manual Bale Tying

The ENERPAT Closed Door Horizontal Baler is a practical solution for businesses handling regular volumes of cardboard, paper and other recyclable materials.
The machine automatically compresses the material, while the finished bale is manually tied before discharge. This makes it a suitable option for operations that want efficient horizontal baling without a fully automatic tying system.

Key Features:
- Automatic Compression: Hydraulic compression forms dense, compact bales.
- Manual Bale Tying: Operators tie the bale after the required bale length is reached.
- Efficient Feeding: Steel-chain conveyor supports continuous material feeding.
- Adjustable Bale Output: Bale length and bale weight can be adjusted according to operating requirements.
- Reliable Operation: Heavy-duty construction and hydraulic system are designed for regular industrial use.
- Safety Protection: Includes overload protection and emergency-stop functions.

Suitable for: Warehouses, manufacturing and packaging operations, independent recyclers and other businesses with steady cardboard volumes.

How a Cardboard Baler Works?
A horizontal cardboard baler compresses loose cardboard into dense, stackable bales through feeding, hydraulic compression, bale formation, tying and discharge. The exact tying and bale-discharge method depends on the selected baler.
  • Loose cardboard and OCC are loaded into the baling chamber manually or through a steel-chain conveyor.
  • The hydraulic ram compresses the material to form a dense, uniform bale.
  • Compression continues until the required bale size or preset length is reached.
  • The Auto-Tie Horizontal Baler automatically ties each finished bale, while the Closed Door Horizontal Baler uses manual bale tying. The Automatic Two-Ram Baler completes automatic baling and tying.
  • Finished bales are discharged from the machine for storage, handling or transport. The Automatic Two-Ram Baler uses its secondary pusher cylinder to eject the finished bale through the discharge opening.
How Cardboard Baler Reduces Your Operating Costs
ENERPAT cardboard balers compress loose cardboard into dense, uniform bales, helping businesses reduce the space, labor and transportation resources required for cardboard handling. By improving material density and simplifying storage and loading, cardboard baling can help lower day-to-day operating costs while making recycling operations more efficient.
