The ENERPAT Twin Shaft Tyre Shredding Machine is built for the first stage of tyre recycling. Its two counter-rotating shafts work together to tear whole tyres into coarse pieces, cutting volume down before further processing. With a capacity of 10–15 tons per hour, it produces first-stage shredded tyre material in the range of roughly 50–100 mm. The shredder can run as a standalone unit or as part of a complete tyre recycling line, and it can be expanded with downstream equipment as your processing needs grow. This machine performs coarse size reduction before steel separation and secondary processing. Two counter-rotating shafts pull the tyre into the cutting chamber and apply low-speed, high-torque shear force. The tyre is torn into smaller pieces rather than finely ground in one pass.The shredder can be connected with conveyors, magnetic separation, screening and s condary crushing equipment to create a continuous recycling process.

The first step in tyre recycling is not always about making the smallest possible particle.For many recycling plants, the immediate challenge is taking large whole tyres and making them small enough for the rest of the line to handle efficiently. The Twin Shaft Tyre Shredding Machine handles this initial task by reducing whole tyres to approximately 50–100 mm. After that, the material can move through secondary crushing and separation stages. For TDF production, the coarse shredded material may already be close to the required size range. For rubber granules and rubber powder, additional crushing, screening and steel separation are required. This separation of processing stages allows recyclers to configure the line around their actual market and gradually increase processing capability.

The machine is designed for common passenger and truck tyres within the applicable feed dimensions. The source material identifies passenger tyres up to approximately 800 mm and truck tyres up to approximately 1,200–1,350 mm depending on the tyre category.
02. What is the output size of the primary shredding stage?

The typical first-stage output is approximately 50–100 mm. Smaller rubber particles require additional crushing and grinding equipment.
03. Is this the final stage of tyre recycling?

No. It is primarily a coarse-shredding machine. Downstream equipment can be added for steel separation, further size reduction, screening and rubber granulation.
04. Can the machine be integrated into a complete tyre recycling line?

Yes. The machine can be connected with conveyors, secondary crushers, magnetic separators and screening systems. A complete line can use multiple stages to produce TDF, rubber granules or rubber powder.
