When Plastic Starts Taking Over Your Floor Space
Plastic is easy to accumulate and difficult to store efficiently. Film, bottles and other lightweight recyclables can fill bins, cages and storage areas long before they become a useful load for collection. A plastic baler changes how the material is handled. Instead of moving loose plastic through your site, you can compress it into uniform bales that are easier to stack, move and transport.
Optimize Your Recycling Site With ENERPAT Plastic Balers
1 -
Less Loose Material
Keep plastic film, bottles and other recyclables under control instead of letting them build up around the site.
More Usable Space
Dense bales take up far less floor space than loose plastic and can be stacked while waiting for collection or further processing.
Fewer Collection Runs
More material can be stored and moved in each load, helping you make better use of transport capacity.
A More Organised Recycling Area
Keep incoming material, processed bales and collection areas easier to manage.
PET Bottles
Compress loose PET bottles into manageable bales for easier storage, handling and downstream recycling.
Plastic Film
Bale loose film and other lightweight plastics to reduce volume and keep the material contained.
HDPE & Rigid Plastics
Suitable for operations handling milk bottles, containers and other rigid plastic recyclables.
Mixed Recyclables
For recycling facilities handling plastic alongside cardboard, paper and other non-hazardous recyclable materials, a horizontal baler can provide a practical way to consolidate different material streams.

HBA series
Auto-Tie Horizontal Plastic Baler
Automatic Compression and Bale Tying
Designed for businesses that want to reduce manual work throughout the baling process. Once the preset bale length is reached, the machine automatically ties the finished bale.
Best suited to: Recycling facilities, warehouses and distribution operations handling regular volumes of plastic film, bottles and other non-hazardous recyclables.
Built for operations handling substantial volumes of plastic and other bulky recyclables. The two-ram design provides a large processing space and automatic bale formation, making it suitable for demanding recycling and waste-processing environments.
Best suited to: High-volume recycling facilities and operations handling bulky, mixed recyclable materials.
A straightforward option for businesses that need hydraulic compression but do not require an automatic tying system. The machine compresses the material automatically, while operators manually tie the finished bale before discharge.
Best suited to: Businesses with steady plastic volumes and available labour for manual bale tying.
From a recycling facility receiving mixed materials to a warehouse dealing with packaging film, plastic baling can be used wherever loose plastic needs to be consolidated before storage, handling or transport.
From the loading area to the bale storage area, the aim is simple: less loose plastic to handle and more material ready to move.
For operations receiving plastic bottles, film and other recyclable materials, horizontal baling helps consolidate recovered plastics into manageable bales for storage and onward handling.
Shrink wrap, plastic film and packaging materials can build up quickly around busy dispatch and receiving areas. Baling helps keep these materials contained and frees up space for daily operations.
Manufacturing and processing businesses may generate plastic packaging, film and other non-hazardous recyclable materials as part of their daily operations. A baler provides a practical way to consolidate this material before collection.
For recyclers handling regular volumes of plastic and other recyclable materials, horizontal baling provides a consistent way to prepare material for storage, loading and transport.
Our Options
Which Plastic Baler Fits Your Operation?
The main difference between the three ENERPAT balers is how much of the baling process you want to automate and the type of operation you are running.
Not sure which option suits your site? Share your material type, approximate daily volume, available floor space and preferred level of automation with the ENERPAT team. We can recommend a suitable configuration for your operation.
When your operation handles large volumes of plastic and other bulky recyclables and you need a heavy-duty automatic baling system.
Choose the Auto-Tie Horizontal Baler
When reducing manual tying work is important and you want a continuous horizontal baling process with automatic bale tying.
Choose the Closed Door Horizontal Baler
When you need automatic compression but are comfortable with operators manually tying finished bales.
How Does a Horizontal Plastic Baler Work?
1. Feed the Plastic
Plastic bottles, film, containers or other recyclable plastics are loaded into the baler hopper manually or through a conveyor-fed system.
2. Compress the Material
The hydraulic ram pushes the material into the baling chamber, reducing its volume and forming a compact bale.
3. Tie the Bale
On automatic models, the bale is tied once the preset bale length is reached. This keeps the finished bale together during handling and storage.
4. Discharge and Stack
The finished bale is pushed out of the chamber and can then be moved to the storage area, loading area or next stage of the recycling process.
