Watch the Enerpat Copper Cable Granulator Video to see how scarp copper cables are shredded, granulated, and separated into clean copper and plastic. A quick look at the copper cable recycling process in action.
Product Description

BX cable, also known as armored cable, is an older style of metal-sheathed electrical cable. The material described here features spiral steel armor around internal insulated copper wires. It has been used in older commercial buildings and may be encountered during electrical renovations, building upgrades, and demolition work.
The ENERPat BX Cable Granulating Machine is designed for this type of armored cable. It handles the steel armor before the final copper separation stage. Depending on cable dimensions and the selected processing route, the system can be configured with preliminary shredding or size reduction, magnetic separation to remove ferrous material, and further granulation and separation of the insulated copper wires. This enables efficient recovery of copper from BX cable while the steel armor is removed as a separate ferrous fraction.

BX Cable

Steel-armored BX cable requires careful planning because the recycling process must account for both the internal copper conductors and the outer steel layer. Before selecting a BX Cable Granulating Machine, it is important to confirm the cable construction, expected processing volume, and required output materials.
Send ENERPAT your cable photos or sample details, approximate dimensions, and recovery objectives.
