ENERPAT Provides On-Site Pre-Sales Technical Consultation for a Recycling Company in Monterrey, Mexico

In August 2026, the ENERPAT team conducted an on-site technical consultation for a recycling company in Monterrey, Mexico, focusing on two metal recycling applications: aluminum can baling and automotive scrap metal baling.

The customer was evaluating new baling equipment and wanted to confirm equipment capacity, bale specifications, feeding methods, weighing accuracy, maintenance requirements and long-term operating reliability before making a final equipment decision.

Based on the material characteristics and production requirements discussed on site, ENERPAT evaluated the applications and recommended suitable baling solutions for both aluminum cans and ferrous scrap.

aluminum can baling and automotive scrap metal baling

Aluminum Can Baling Requirements

The first application involved baling both loose and flattened aluminum cans.

The customer required relatively small and consistent bales for easier handling and downstream furnace operations. Key requirements included:

  • Aluminum can processing

  • Consistent bale weight

  • Compact bale dimensions

  • Easy stacking and handling

  • Stable production capacity

  • Efficient material feeding

The customer emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistent bale weight and suitable bale dimensions. These requirements were taken into consideration when developing the proposed equipment configuration.

Based on the customer's requirements, ENERPAT recommended a solution consisting of:

Conveyor + Weighing Conveyor + AMB-H1075-100 Metal Baler

ENERPAT's team carried out a capacity calculation during the on-site meeting based on the customer's expected monthly processing volume.

The calculation showed that the proposed configuration could provide sufficient processing capacity for the customer's application.

The weighing conveyor was also discussed in detail.

The customer's engineering team initially wanted to understand whether the weighing process would affect feeding efficiency or increase operating requirements. ENERPAT explained the working principle and demonstrated how the weighing system could be incorporated into the feeding process while maintaining the required production performance.

Conveyor and Hopper Configuration for Efficient Feeding

The customer also wanted to simplify daily operation and reduce the need for continuous manual feeding.

ENERPAT proposed a customized hopper configuration for the feeding conveyor.

The hopper can provide additional temporary material storage, allowing the operator to load a larger amount of material at one time rather than continuously monitoring the feeding point.

This configuration can help support:

  • More convenient material feeding

  • Reduced manual intervention

  • More stable material flow

  • Better use of operator time

  • One-person operating arrangements where appropriate

The proposed feeding configuration was discussed with the customer's technical team as part of the overall equipment solution.

Equipment Reliability and Long-Term Maintenance

Equipment durability was another important topic during the technical consultation.

The customer's engineers asked detailed questions about equipment service life, wear components, hydraulic cylinders, spare parts and after-sales support.

ENERPAT explained its equipment design, wear protection approach and long-term maintenance considerations.

The discussion also covered:

  • Hydraulic cylinder warranty

  • Complete machine warranty

  • Spare parts

  • Wear components

  • Maintenance requirements

  • Post-warranty technical support

  • Equipment service life

ENERPAT also shared application experience from existing recycling customers to help the customer better understand long-term equipment performance and maintenance expectations.

Additional Application: Automotive Scrap Metal Baling

During the consultation, the customer also discussed another application involving automotive scrap and ferrous metal components.

The material includes various steel automotive parts and other bulky scrap components. The customer was evaluating whether direct baling could provide a more convenient alternative for handling this type of material.

Based on the material characteristics and expected processing requirements, ENERPAT recommended the:

AMB-L2520-250 Metal Baler

The customer was particularly interested in the machine's ability to handle heavy and bulky ferrous scrap.

ENERPAT also discussed the recommended feeding method and explained how a grapple could be used to load the material into the baler.

Material Testing Before Final Equipment Selection

For applications involving different types of automotive scrap, material characteristics can have a significant influence on equipment configuration and operating performance.

To provide a more reliable equipment recommendation, ENERPAT invited the customer to send representative material for testing at the ENERPAT testing facility in China.

The material test can help evaluate:

  • Material feeding

  • Compression performance

  • Bale formation

  • Equipment operating stability

  • Processing efficiency

  • Finished bale characteristics

Testing representative material also allows the customer to see the equipment operating under practical conditions before proceeding with the final equipment configuration.

ENERPAT's Broader Recycling Equipment Solutions

While this consultation focused on metal baling, ENERPAT provides equipment for a wide range of recycling applications.

Depending on material characteristics and processing requirements, ENERPAT can provide individual machines as well as integrated recycling systems, including:

This allows ENERPAT to assess the complete material processing flow and recommend equipment according to the customer's actual requirements.

ENERPAT's Broader Recycling Equipment Solutions

From On-Site Consultation to the Right Recycling Solution

The Monterrey consultation demonstrates ENERPAT's approach to international pre-sales technical support.

Instead of recommending a standard machine based solely on material type, ENERPAT evaluates multiple factors, including:

Material → Capacity → Bale Weight → Bale Size → Feeding Method → Labor Requirements → Equipment Reliability → Future Processing Needs

For the aluminum can application, ENERPAT recommended the AMB-H1075-100 with a conveyor and weighing conveyor.

For the automotive scrap application, ENERPAT recommended the AMB-L2520-250 and proposed representative material testing to further verify the solution.

Through on-site technical consultation, equipment calculations and material testing, ENERPAT helps recycling companies make equipment decisions based on their actual production requirements.

ENERPAT Global Technical Support

ENERPAT provides technical support throughout the recycling equipment lifecycle, from:

Pre-Sales Consultation → Equipment Selection → Material Testing → Installation & Commissioning → Operator Support → After-Sales Service

Our international service approach is designed to help customers select suitable recycling equipment, improve operational efficiency and achieve reliable long-term performance.
